Chichen Itza and the Equinoxes

Chichen Itza is a Mayan archaeological site in Mexico that is known for its impressive temples, pyramids, and other structures. One of the most notable features of Chichen Itza is the Kukulkan Pyramid, which is aligned with the sun. On the spring and fall equinoxes, the sun casts a shadow on the pyramid that creates the illusion of a serpent slithering down the steps. This is a truly spectacular display of ancient technology, and it is a reminder of the skill and ingenuity of the Mayan people.
